Olivia Hussey Eisley, renowned for her role in the 1968 film Romeo and Juliet and the horror classic Black Christmas, has passed away at the age of 73. Her family confirmed her death in a heartfelt post on her Instagram page, announcing that she died peacefully at home on December 27th, surrounded by loved ones.
Described as “a remarkable person” whose kindness and wisdom touched many, Olivia’s legacy spans both her significant contributions to cinema and her devotion to art, spirituality, and animals. She was also celebrated for her roles in Death on the Nile and her Golden Globe-winning performance in Romeo and Juliet.
Born in Buenos Aires on April 17, 1951, Olivia is survived by her children Alex, Max, and India, her husband of 35 years David Glen Eisley, and grandson Greyson.
Her family expressed gratitude for the support and requested privacy during this time of mourning.
