South Africa’s cricket legend and fielding maestro, Jonty Rhodes, has embarked on a unique adventure across Sri Lanka, exploring the island in a tuk-tuk.
Rhodes, who shared his enriching travel experience on Instagram, expressed his deep appreciation for Sri Lanka’s vibrant culture, sustainable tourism efforts, and stunning surf spots.
“As you travel through a country, it’s essential to get as close as possible to the local population, to benefit both the communities and the environment,” Jonty shared.
The Rhodes family used their three-wheeler journey to explore various surf breaks in Ahangama, a well-known surfing destination on the southern coast.
“It’s inspiring to witness the many positive impacts tourism is having on the economy,” Jonty added, expressing his gratitude for Sri Lanka’s resilience and the warmth of its hospitality.
