Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer Breaks Records as Most-Watched Ever, Surpassing Marvel Rival

The highly anticipated third installment of the Deadpool series released its inaugural trailer on Sunday, February 11, instantly claiming the title of the most-watched trailer in history, surpassing another beloved Marvel favorite. Get ready to be on the edge of your seat.

Directed by Shawn Levy and penned by Rhett Reese, Deadpool & Wolverine, humorously dubbed Wolverine & A**hole by Hugh Jackman, features Ryan Reynolds and Jackman reprising their iconic roles. Decked in their signature red and yellow suits, the duo joins forces for a film that promises to steer the franchise in a ‘completely different’ direction, as previously stated by Reynolds.

The tantalizing partnership of Reynolds and Jackman has been teased for over a year, with Reynolds sharing a still image in July, creating a buzz online. Despite a production hiatus due to SAG-AFTRA strikes, Jackman’s Instagram post featuring superhero-themed Crocs signaled the revival of the film.

The trailer’s release unleashed the anticipated excitement among Marvel fans, breaking records within the first 24 hours. According to The Walt Disney Company, the trailer garnered a staggering 365 million views, officially surpassing the first trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which achieved 355.5 million views in its initial 24 hours.

Marvel enthusiasts flooded social media to celebrate the news, with one user expressing, “Well deserved. Billion-dollar film incoming. Marvel is so back.” Another added, “Gonna be the biggest MCU movie since NWH,” while a third commented, “Movie already broke a record even before its release.”

The star-studded cast of Deadpool & Wolverine includes Emma Corrin from The Crown, Matthew Macfadyen from Succession, and the return of Stefan Kapičić. As anticipation builds, fans eagerly await the film’s release in U.S. and Canadian theaters on July 26, available in IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD, and premium screens everywhere.
