Commercial Bank of Ceylon Launches Grand ‘Avurudu’ Shopping Promotion for Cardholders
The Commercial Bank of Ceylon is ushering in the Sinhala and Tamil New Year with its largest seasonal shopping extravaganza tailored for credit and debit cardholders.
Partnering with over 400 merchants nationwide, the Bank is offering discounts of up to 50% during specified days or periods from March 20th to April 30th, 2024, at more than 4,000 outlets across the country.
These promotions aim to elevate the festive spirit of the Avurudu celebrations by providing cardholders with enticing opportunities to shop for the entire family, exchange gifts with friends, embark on home improvements, explore new beauty trends, prioritize fitness goals, and indulge in self-care.
The discounts cover a diverse array of categories, including clothing and fashion accessories, lifestyle products, footwear and leatherware, hotel accommodations, jewelry, healthcare services, salon and spa treatments, supermarkets, automobiles, watches, accessories, and dining experiences.
Furthermore, 85 online vendors will extend discounts exclusively to ComBank credit and debit cardholders throughout the promotion period. Additionally, 14 participating merchants will offer convenient payment plans of up to 60 months for white goods purchased during this period.
The participating merchant partners represent a wide spectrum of products and services, encompassing both local and international brands across various price points, ensuring inclusivity for a broad customer base.
Simultaneously, alongside the ‘Avurudu’ card promotion, Commercial Bank has introduced a separate promotion exclusively for debit cardholders. Participants have the chance to win gifts worth Rs 6 million, including an all-inclusive holiday in Singapore for two, high-end laptops, luxury hotel stays, and supermarket vouchers.
Another ongoing promotion will reward 160 recipients of remittances routed via the bank’s ‘RemitPlus’ money transfer service with a total of Rs 4 million in cash.
